ACIS Global Conference Group at Barcelona Castle

It’s official. Travel is back. And we couldn’t be more excited. A few weeks ago, ACIS welcomed hundreds of teachers from across the US to global conferences in Barcelona, Lucerne, Rome and Quito. To say these trips were successful would be an understatement. Everyone came home (teachers and staff alike!) reinvigorated and inspired. Travel does changes lives after all. Let’s get to it!

But don’t listen to me. Listen to the teachers who attended our conferences.

“We had an absolute BLAST! I’ve never learned so much, experienced so much, and enjoyed so much, all in one great weekend. I’m only more excited about our visit to Italy in March.  The ACIS team was amazing and surpassed my expectations. I mean, having dinner in a real Spanish castle is a one-time opportunity! We were very well taken care of and I’m so happy knowing that we will have future adventures with ACIS.”  – Dakota J.

“This was something I had been looking forward to for months and it not only lived up to my expectations but went beyond! I am re-energized and ready to teach again. Thank you, ACIS!!!”  – Beth M.

“Seeing how the “new norms” of group travel work in another country helped ease some concerns about student travel during COVID.  Seeing the incredible system of support from ACIS has made me feel much more confident about student travel.” -Andrew R.

“The Alps were unbelievably beautiful, and we can’t wait to get back there someday.  [ACIS Staff] was awesome and they took care of us the whole time!  Everything went perfect and I’m glad we decided to make the trip.” – Chris D.

“Barcelona was absolutely amazing! We had an incredible time. I always knew I loved ACIS but this trip blew it out of the water. I was taken away. I can’t say it enough. It was phenomenal.” – Ariadne L.

“I am so happy I decided to take this trip. I was worried about how we would handle COVID, but now I have absolutely nothing to worry about.” – Reina Z.

“The way ACIS planned and managed this conference was outstanding. As apprehensive as I might have been, all the attention to every detail and our safety was taken care of with a thoughtful approach.” – Alina A.

“I can’t say enough positive words to describe that experience that [ACIS] provided! Having gone on this trip, I feel more able to communicate with parents what it will be like traveling this summer—I can give them first hand experience of adhering to Covid protocols while traveling. Not only does the trip introduce educators to another culture/location that they may not be familiar with, but it gives a very hands-on sense of the logistics of traveling with ACIS.” – Allison S.

ACIS Group Leader, Rebecca, sums it up nicely.

“ACIS takes care of its teachers.  The global conferences are always such a treat! – Rebecca B,

We’re grateful to work with so many amazing educators and community leaders from across the U.S. who share our belief about the power of travel. Our next big departure day is just a little more than a week away. We can’t wait!
