VIDEO: Why Teachers Travel

January 27, 2016 Marc Amigone 1 Comment

In our 38 years operating international educational tours, we’ve heard time and again about the life-changing power of travel. Over 500,000 teachers and students have gone abroad with ACIS, and we’ve documented the long-lasting effects that exposure to international cultures can have on young people in a variety of ways. We’ve heard stories about students traveling with ACIS, going on to become teachers, leading trips of their own and inspiring another generation to become global citizens.

Travel Changes Lives. We believe it so whole-heartedly it’s part of our stated mission. Don’t just take it from us though; we’d much rather you hear it straight from the teachers who make up the ACIS extended family.

Why do you travel with your students? Let us know in the comments section below!

  1. Traveling with my students is the very best part of my job! The language they have been studying for 3-4 years, and the stories I’ve told them all come to life when we step off that plane! I really try hard to prepare them as much as I can for the trip and I encourage them to be mindful, live in the moment, and really practice their French. Our ten days together go by so quickly. We all get to know each other on a much different level than we do in the classroom. Many, many thanks to ACIS for taking care of all of the details so that I can enjoy my time with my students.
