Depart the USA and get ready to say Bonjour to Québec City! Meet your ACIS Tour Manager and begin exploring the city on a walking tour. You will see Place d’Youville, la Porte St-Jean, the Latin Quarter, le petit Séminaire de Québec and Notre Dame de Québec Cathedral. After dinner, your group can walk to les Glissades de la Terrasse, where you'll spend the evening taking exhilarating, 300-metre rides on "la luge" and gather for a group photograph as post trip souvenir before returning to the hotel.
After breakfast, bundle up and depart for Parc de la Chutes Montmorency, where you will walk over a footbridge that passes directly over the 275-foot-high falls. After lunch, visit Village Vacances and the incomparable Hôtel de Glace. You will enter the largest winter sports facility in North America, where you can try any of its 42 exciting inner-tube and crazy carpet slides. Tonight, enjoy an all-you-can-eat dinner at an authentic French-Canadian cabane à sucre, where you'll spend the evening learning traditional dances and folk songs.
This morning, put on your caps, mittens and snowshoes for a snowshoeing adventure with a 20th century snowshoer in the park, along the course mapped out by the Plains of Abraham’s sports history. Next, take the funiculaire to an early lunch on your own in the Quartier Petit Champlain, the oldest part of Québec City, where the ancient greystone buildings and cobblestoned streets date to the early 1600s. End your Québec City visit with a ferry ride across the frozen, mile-wide St. Lawrence River to enjoy views of the stunning old city one last time before returning home.
