ACIS Spring 2024 Travel Recap

April 29, 2024 Sarah Bichsel No Comments

What a wonderful season of travel it has been so far! Spring is always jam-packed with students traveling on spring break itineraries, and any of the pre-planning stress on our end melts away when we start seeing the photos and videos roll in from groups experiencing the magic of tour for themselves.

From Italy to Ecuador, Madrid to Munich, here are some of the highlights provided by ACIS student travelers, tour managers, and group leaders.

Visiting cultural sites you’ve only read about in books and getting expert commentary throughout? All in a day with an ACIS Tour!

Whether paying respects to heroes of science or discovering the history behind one of Europe’s most famous residences, there was no shortage of learning happening around the world.

One of the things I really love about ACIS – the academic content and focus is clearly articulated and realized. It makes it easy to be a teacher and student on the trip.

We also believe learning should be dynamic, which is why we include as many hands-on activities as possible. There were dance lessons, art and cooking workshops, guided city bike tours, and scientific demonstrations, all for travelers to experience unique traditions first hand.

One hands-on activity we especially love? Trying new foods!

I’m having way more fun with ACIS!

And while learning is key, there’s also just the plain fun of traveling abroad with your peers!

Our Tour Managers are top tier. They’re always going above and beyond to make the tour informative and entertaining, which may include wearing traditional lederhosen to go hiking in the alps!

And when it’s time to say goodbye to them at the end of the trip, you may find yourself in tears!

An ACIS tour is an incredible experience – but don’t just take our word for it!

We asked a first time group leader to give her feedback straight from the road in Paris. Check out what she has to say:

After having participated in 5 tours with [other travel companies], there is no comparison, and I would never go back: ACIS or bust! The hotels are more centrally located with ACIS and the quality of food does not compare.
