Student Trips and Tours to Japan

Student Trips to Japan

With thousands of years of history and some of the most advanced technologies in existence, Japan is an incredible mix of the past and present. On a student trip to Japan, students will experience ancient customs through guided tea ceremonies, sumo wrestling demonstrations, and samurai sword workshops, while also exploring the innovations that have made the country a leader in transportation, biotech and aerospace engineering. Top it off with delicious food, from night market vendors to sushi-making, iconic temple tours, and views atop Mount Fuji, and you have an unforgettable student trip in store.

Hands-down, this trip was life changing. I’ve always wanted to travel to Japan, and I couldn’t have thought of a better trip. I wish I could go back and relive it a thousand times over!”

Do U.S. Students need a visa to travel to Japan?

No, U.S. citizens don’t need a visa when traveling to Japan for less than 90 days. You will need a valid passport. Non-U.S. citizens who hold passports from a country not on Japan’s official visa-exempt list will be responsible for obtaining their own visas.

When is the best time for a school trip to Japan?

It’s always a great time to visit Japan and each season has its own unique benefits. In early spring you can look forward to the beauty of cherry blossoms blooming. Later in spring and in the fall, the temperature are mild and the crowds are smaller. Summer brings the heat, but also has many cultural festivals. And Winter is the most budget-friendly choice.

Is Japan a safe destination for student groups?

Japan is the definition of a safe destination for student groups. Not only is crime low and medical resources advanced, it is a kind culture that nurtures visitors.

Do students need to speak Japanese?

When traveling to any destination we always recommend learning a few basic words in the local language as a courtesy, but it is not required. Your ACIS Tour Manager is bilingual and will guide you through your trip.
