· You have a long drive – start as early as possible.
· Rest stops – Moffat Woolen Mills, 01683 220134 on A701 or the Blacksmith’s Cottage at Gretna Green, 01461 338341, just over the border.
The Green Wellie, 01838 400271, in Tyndrum for lunch. Can be busy but is realistically only stop on way north.
· Glencoe, work with the driver to choose photo stop. Visitor centre at entrance to Glen (Café/toilets, exhibitions (they pay), 01855 811307.
· You may want to stop for photos and restrooms at either Luss (fee charged).
