Portsmouth Historic Ships
Follow the brown “Historic Ships” signs to the coach park. Set down and lead the group along the wall to the Victory Gate entrance. Make a rendezvous here to walk back to the coach. Allow 2 hours for the visit.
Pay entrances by voucher at Group Check-in Desk in the Visitor Centre and lead the group through to the Historic Dockyard. All bags will be inspected. The ticket covers entrance to HMS Warrior, HMS Victory, the Mary Rose and the Royal Naval Museum.
You will usually have booked times for the Mary Rose Museum, Mary Rose Exhibit and HMS Victory. Familiarize yourself with a dockyards map. See websites below. The Mary Rose Museum and Exhibition Hall are not next to each other so you have to allow time to walk between the two. After that you go to HMS Victory. For the taller amongst the group the Victory is somewhat of limbo challenge – mind your heads. At peak times there may be a wait of 15-20 minutes for HMS Victory. Large groups will be divided into 30 for HMS Victory and the Mary Rose.
HMS Warrior can be explored at individual’s leisure.
There are restaurants and shops within the Dockyard.
