Hampton Court Palace & Gardens visit
- Entrances paid by voucher.
- Palace now has standard opening time of 10.00. Ticket office opens 09.45.
- Check your vouchers to see whether you are doing the excursion in the morning or afternoon.
- Ensure your group hold on to their admission ticket. Two check points. Main entrance and in gardens prior to the Tilt Yard café. That means a Palace, Privy Gardens, Formal Gardens, Wilderness, Maze, Tea rooms routing will have only one ticket check.
- Toilets, shops and cafes within palace grounds.
- If visiting for the Flower Show (GOE) do not disperse group until they have their tickets & maps for the palace.

08.45 /13.00 Depart from London and take the A316, then the A308 to Hampton Court. Drop off at the Train Station across the bridge or Hampton Green, on Hampton Court Road (see map below). Both are a 5-minute walk. Exchange your voucher for tickets and maps at the ticket office on the left. Arrange a time/place for departure. At ticket office ask for a Daily Timetable of events.
Walk group through Base Court to the staircase leading to the Great Hall and Chapel. They should also not miss the massive Tudor Kitchens underneath and the astrological clock. Point out the office where group can pick up audio guides (now located in corner of Base Court) and/or book themselves on the costumed guided tours. Disperse group.
Inform group they can get into the gardens (Maze, Great Vine, Pony/Trap Trips – they may need their ticket for the maze, money for the pony/traps) from Fountain Court. Entrance to the Real Tennis court is through Fountain Court and to the left. (Open Easter to September).
12.00/16.00 Meet the group at the Trophy Gate and escort back to the coach.
