- Check your voucher for the time and place of your rendezvous with the Budapest city guide and time your departure accordingly.
- If you are coming from Vienna, allow free time for lunch in Budapest before the sightseeing tour. There are lots of places between the Elizabeth Bridge and Vörösmarty Square (the pedestrian square).
- Check your expenses sheet to see if the entrance at Mathias Church is included (pay in cash if it is). There is no longer a tip paid to the local guide.
- If the GL wants to visit Bratislava, this adds around 2.5-3 hours, but be aware that it is no longer possible to drop off by the UFO Bridge/ Park Inn as it used to be.
If stopping in Bratislava, note that the coach may no longer drop off for the Old Town in front of the Park Inn Hotel Danube without a permit! Instead the bus park is around 400m further East of the “UFO Bridge” along Rázusovo Nábrežie, on the waterfront by the Slovak National Museum. This is a shorter walk to the main square, but means it is a longer “hike” down to the cathedral and synagogue memorial
