Germanics Basketball Tournament

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Monday June 16: Overnight Flight

Departure from the United States.

Day 2, Tuesday June 17: Munich

Arrive in Munich and meet your 24 hour Tour Manager. Transfer into Munich to the Olympic Park for an orientation tour, then enjoy lunch on your own. Transfer to hotel to drop luggage, then continue to inner city of Munich. Meet your local English-speaking guide for a bike tour. Return to hotel for dinner. (D)

Day 3, Wednesday June 18: Munich

After breakfast, transfer to Salzburg. You'll have an orientation tour with your Tour Manager and free time in Salzburg for lunch on your own. Walk to the Sport Zentrum Mitte and meet you sport assistant. Friendly game #1 against BBU Salzburg. (B,D)

Day 4, Thursday June 19: Munich

After breakfast, transfer to Dachau for a visit to the WWII memorial. Lunch on your own. Transfer to Kelten-Grundschule Aschheim Herdweg and check-in for Tournament. Tournament according to the program. (B,D)

Day 5, Friday June 20: Munich

After breakfast, transfer to Immenstadt to take the chairlift up to a typical Bavarian alpine hut “Bärenfalle” and enjoy some stunning views. Lunch on your own. Then transfer to Schwangau for a guided visit to Castle Hohenschwangau. Return to Munich. (B,D)

Day 6, Saturday June 21: Frankfurt

After breakfast, check-out and head North West. Stop in Rothenburg for an orientation tour with your Tour Manager, then have lunch on your own. Continue to Frankfurt and check-in to your hotel. Dinner at hotel. (B,D)

Day 7, Sunday June 22: Frankfurt

After breakfast, transfer to ASC Theresianum Mainz. Meet your sport assistant and check in for tournament. Tournament according to the program. Lunch at the Theresianum. Transfer to Frankfurt Inner City. Meet your local English-speaking guide for a city walk through Frankfurt followed by free time for dinner on your own. Return to hotel. (B,L)

Day 8, Monday June 23: Frankfurt

After breakfast, transfer to Heidelberg. Upon arrival, meet your local guide for a guided city walk through Heidelberg including a visit to Heidelberg Castle. Enjoy lunch and free afternoon. Transfer back to hotel for farewell dinner. (B,D)

Day 9, Tuesday June 24: Departure

After breakfast, check-out and transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States. (B)
