Germanics Volleyball Tournament

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Tuesday July 13: Overnight Flight

Departure from the United States.

Day 2, Wednesday July 14: Frankfurt

Group arrival at Frankfurt Airport. Meet your bilingual tour manager and deluxe motor-coach driver, then transfer to Frankfurt inner city. Meet your local English-speaking guide for a 2h city walk through Frankfurt. Individual lunch followed by some free time for further sightseeing or shopping on your own. (D)

Day 3, Thursday July 15: Frankfurt

After breakfast transfer to a local field/sports center to check in to an international tournament (start of the 1,5 days tournament - TBC – min. 4 game versus international teams). (B,D)

Day 4, Friday July 16: Frankfurt

After breakfast, transfer to Heidelberg. Upon arrival, meet your local English-speaking guide for a 2,5h city walk through Heidelberg including a visit to Heidelberg Castle (adm. and funicular ride included). Individual lunch followed by some free time for further sightseeing or shopping on your own. Later this afternoon, transfer to a local field/sports center for your next game against a local side. Day 5, Saturday July 17: Munich

After breakfast, check-out and load motor-coach.Head south-east in direction to Rothenburg o.T. (approx. 250 km / 3,5 hours’ drive) Stop in Rothenburg for an orientation tour with your Tour Manager followed by lunch on your own. (B,D)

Day 6, Sunday July 18: Munich

After breakfast, transfer to Dachau for a visit to the WWII memorial. Return to Munich inner-city for lunch on your own. Meet your local English-speaking guide for a 3,5h city Bike Tour. (B,D)

Day 7, Monday July 19: Munich

After breakfast, transfer to Füssen. Orientation tour with your tour manager followed by a guided visit to Neuschwanstein Castle. Lunch on your own, then transfer to Immenstadt. Upon arrival, take the chairlift up to the typical Bavarian alpine hut “Bärenfalle” and enjoy some stunning views. Later, decent the mountain with the famous “Alpsee coaster” and its 68 curves, 23 waves, 7 jumps and 4 bridges. (B,D)

Day 8, Tuesday July 20: Munich

After breakfast transfer to the famous Olympic Park for an orientation tour with your tour manager. Lunch on your own. Later this afternoon, transfer to a local field/sports center for your first game against a local side. (B,D)

Day 9, Wednesday July 21: Departure

After breakfast, check-out and transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States. (B)
