A morning sightseeing tour introduces you to this European-influenced city known as the Paris of South America. A local guide will show you the Plaza de Mayo, the Metropolitan Cathedral, Congress Hall and the fashionable Recoleta area. The rest of the day is free for you to explore.
Today you will travel to Los Cardales for a tour of the Estancia Santa Susana
. Covering 3,000 acres, this gaucho ranch is dedicated to agriculture. After a traditional criollas meal, you will enjoy a folklore show, a visit to the museum and the chance to take a horseback ride through this impressive landscape. Return to Buenos Aires this evening.
This morning fly to Puerto Iguazú to visit the Iguazú National Park and some of the world's most magnificent waterfalls. In the afternoon see Iguazú Falls, set in a subtropical rain forest with more than 2,000 plant species and more than 400 species of birds.
Today embark on an excursion by train to visit the most impressive of the falls, known as Devil's Throat, or Garganta del Diablo. Forming a semicircle of 14 falls, the water cascades 350 feet from the top of the falls with such force that a permanent 100-foot cloud of spray is created overhead.
Return by plane to Buenos Aires. Enjoy free time to browse the city's stores and open-air markets for excellent deals in leather, suede, wool knits, jewelry and antiques.
Enjoy a walking tour of Buenos Aires' Palermo neighborhood this morning. Contributing to the city's reputation as the Paris of South America, this is one of the largest and most pleasant barrios, with nearly 350 acres of cultivated green spaces designed by French landscape architect Charles Thays in 1874. In the afternoon learn about an important part of the Argentinean culture with tango lessons
, followed by a special dinner and tango show at El Viejo Almacen.
Today you will enjoy a full-day excursion to the Tigre area. The highlight of the day is a boat ride along the innumerable channels of the Paraná Delta to visit one of the hundreds of beautiful islands. After an included lunch there will be time to relax before transferring to your overnight flight for the USA.
