Seville walking sightseeing with local guide.

Seville sightseeing includes:

The Cathedral (including Giralda Tower) inside visit

Santa Cruz area

· Call or text local guide at least the day before to confirm time and meeting point.

· Your Araque envelope contains the printed out tickets for the cathedral – please ensure you take them with you to give to the guide

· Guide pays entrances. You pay guide with voucher – check correct number of pax and sign.

· Remind your group the night before that they must dress suitably for entrance to the Cathedral e.g. no shoestring straps or skimpy shorts.

· Most of Seville sightseeing is done on foot due to pedestrianized city centre – warn group in advance

· If the Cathedral is closed you do an outside visit only. Please ask local guide when the group could visit the inside on their own at no charge.

· If the Cathedral is closed, the basilica of La Macarena and its museum make a good substitute.

· After tour give group time for lunch and shopping. Plenty of places for lunch in Barrio Santa Cruz and shopping is along pedestrian C/ Sierpes and C/ Tetuán

· Passports are now required by students to enter the Cathedral – please inform the teachers of this in advance – it is possible that you will be asked for the rooming list too – it is equally possible they will wave your group through and not check anything.

· After you have finished the sightseeing visit, give the group time for lunch – there are plenty of places near the Cathedral. Arrange a meeting time and place.

· The Alcázar is not included in most itineraries now. If your group wish to enter they must reserve online a long time in advance (blame Game of Thrones)

· Please make sure everyone in your group has their whisper sets before heading out on sightseeing (and that you have the microphone/s for the local guide)

· Other drop off pick up points apart from the Torre del Oro are around the back of Palacio San Telmo or by the Jardines de Murillo

08:45 Take the NV to Seville

09:00 Meet local guide – a good place is the Alcazar Hotel, or the bus stop on the paseo Colon near the Torre del oro. The bus drops you here. Arrange a meeting time and place with your driver. Make sure the group takes all belongings off the bus at this point. You will continue the tour on foot visiting Santa Cruz quarter and the Cathedral.

13:00 End of tour in the Cathedral area. The guide will usually guide around the cathedral before showing the entrance to the Giralda and leaving the group to climb alone. Give guide the signed voucher and point out some places to eat (there are plenty of places going towards Santa Cruz quarter and in the side streets on the other side of Avenida de la Constitución). The main shopping areas are along Calle Sierpes and Calle Tetuan. If time permits, the Plaza de España will also be included. The bus can drop off at the back of the plaza so that the group can do a twenty minute visit with the local guide. If there is no time as part of the tour it can be done on foot.
