Cuenca sightseeing with TM, including the Abstract Art museum

· Entrance to the Abstract Art Museum is free for the permanent exhibition

· You can be flexible with timing. The order of the day can be reversed.

· Group needs to wear comfortable walking shoes. Warn them it is a steep climb up to the town.

· Abstract Art Museum/Casas Colgadas is closed on Mondays, it can be substituted by the Cathedral (for groups of +15, entrance fee is 4,50€. This fee also applies to students under 25 and seniors over 65. Otherwise, individual tix are 5,50€)

Cuenca – sightseeing with TM

Sightseeing includes:

· Abstract Art Museum

Jucar/Huecar Cuenca has two sharp ravines with rivers on either side of the old town. These are the Hoz del Jucar and the Hoz del Huecar.

Drop-off point,

Casas Colgadas For the sightseeing follow the signs for Hoz del Huecar, Parador, Hotel Cueva del Fraile or “Casas Colgadas.” You will arrive at the coach park

Abstract Art Museum San Pedro, arch & Panorama next to the huge auditorium. There are toilets in the carpark. Arrange a rendezvous time with the driver, and then walk the group up across the river and follow a steep road (Paseo del Huecar) with amazing views looking across the river valley onto the Casas Colgadas. Walk across the San Pablo bridge back towards town. Once off the bridge follow the road round and to the left – you will walk under a small archway and you will come to the Abstract Art Museum (located in the Casas Colgadas). Give group 45 mins in the museum then continue to the Plaza Mayor to show the group the Cathedral. As there is now a separate entrance, allow time at the end of the walk for those who want to visit inside. Continue along Julian Romero Street to San Pedro church. If group still has enough energy, continue past the church and through the arch to get an amazing panoramic view. Return to Plaza Mayor and give free time. There are some bars and cafes if the group want to have lunch here. If your group are interested in Roman artefacts, they might want to visit the Museo de Cuenca.
