Lead your group to the old university dating back to the 13th century – Coimbra’s biggest tourist attraction. Take a look at the clocktower nicknamed “la cabra” in the Patio das Escolas. If your group are interested in going inside the university then they must visit the Biblioteca Joanina with its fresco-covered ceilings and 300,000 leather-bound volumes. For the younger crowd, you could visit the Portugal dos Pequenitos, a theme park of Portugal in miniature. Both these attractions are currently at the groups’ own expense.
