Your walking tour should include the Roman walls which are the best-preserved in Spain, and the 12th century cathedral. If you have time you can actually walk along the ramparts, but this is an over 2km walk. Alternatively, take the group to the Plaza del Campo or Plaza de Santa Maria to see the typical old houses that are only one story high or Plaza de España – a local haunt with gardens and an esplanade. For lunch, try the Rua Nova where there are many restaurants and tapas bars or C/ de la Cruz.
