Full day excursion to Florence by train. Guided city sightseeing tour on foot.

The Accademia is now visited only outside the guided sightseeing tour.
Free admission is granted to all visitors aged under 18 in all state-run museums and archaeological sites. ACIS will still provide a timed reservation to skip the line and a voucher will be with your documents. On the voucher you will read the exact breakdown of adults and under 18 passengers in your group, including yourself. You will have to show it at the entrance of the relevant site and ALL passengers aged under 18 will have to provide either a photocopy or their original passport (please see below details) to reflect the same number described on the voucher.
Failing to do so will result in a full price charge so, please, make sure everyone is informed when you leave the hotel in the morning.
· Dinner will be in Rome upon return. Nonparticipants will generally be either booked at the same restaurant or equipped with Rome meal vouchers. Check with the area office.
· Remind the group of dress code – no bare knees or shoulders at Santa Croce or any other churches.
· You need cash/Equals card for entrances to Santa Croce. You will have a voucher for the Accademia, with a pre booked entry time. The local guide will NOT enter the Accademia with you.
· Check the departure times of your highspeed train on your ticket
08.00 Transfer from your hotel to Termini station. On arrival at the station, locate which platform your train is departing from. Lead your group to the train and board. Seats are reserved (easier to pre assign seats to pax so there won’t be confusion when getting on the train.
08.30 Departure for Florence. The trip is non-stop.
10.05 Arrive Florence. Locate your city guide, who will be waiting for you at in the station, and begin your sightseeing tour.
Tour includes:
· Duomo (outside visit)
· Baptistery doors
· Piazza della Signoria
· Santa Croce (inside visit)
The tour is booked for three hours.
Santa Croce
Groups with a guide are only allowed in if they have an audio system. When you get the tickets (ticket booth around to the left side behind the Dante statue as you face the church) tell them that your group is already equipped.
13.00 The tour usually ends at Santa Croce. Give free time for lunch and shopping.
17.30 Meet group and walk to the train station to board your return train to Rome. Dinner will be at a local restaurant upon arrival
