Sintra inside visit of National Palace with audio headsets
Cascais free time for lunch in Cascais
· You need cash for entrances to the national palace
· This is a seven-hour full day excursion and that includes journey time. Feel free to adjust timings as long as you arrive back in Lisbon around 5 pm. If this is the last day of your trip, the group might appreciate extra time on the beach and less time in Sintra.
· Warn your group that a cover charge is always payable in Portugal (usually covering bread, sardine paste, cheese and olives).
· With an adult group, more time in Sintra to shop and having the typical coffee and cakes is often appreciated.
09:00 Depart from hotel Take N9 to Sintra.
09:45 Arrive Sintra. Coach drops you off by the bus stop just down the road on the right from the National Palace. Arrange rendezvous time with driver for 12:30.
Walk your group back up the street to the national palace. Group them together whilst you go in to buy the tickets and get the audio guides. Arrange a rendezvous time with them after allowing free time for shopping and coffee after ( some people will race through the palace!)
12:30 Depart for Cascais. Take N247.
13:00 Arrive at Cascais. Coach drops the group off on the Avenida Dom Carlos, next to the citadel. It is a short walk downhill to the restaurants, shops and beach.
16:30 Depart for Lisbon. Take the more panoramic coastal road (0 marginal), not the new motorway. You pass Estoril and the beautiful beach at Carcavelos
