The ACIS Difference: Meal Choice and Quality
Food is such an important component of the travel experience, both what you eat and the simple act of sitting down to break bread and share experiences with your fellow travelers. We make it a point to provide meals in local restaurants and, now more than ever, give students greater choice in what they’re eating.
Here are some recent trip review highlights that show our commitment to good food on tour.
Meal Choice
You simply get more choices at mealtimes with ACIS than you would with a budget company. 2026 travelers took note.
“Huge props for creating a special meal for our picky eater that she could and would actually eat.” – ACIS Group Leader Kate B., Iceland
“Students were very pleased with the dinner options there and said that both meals options were their favorite up to that point.” – ACIS Group Leader Steven F., Spain
“Fantastic. The owners brought both choices to the table for all the chaperones. They described the food to the group. Everything was superb!” – ACIS Group Leader Efosini L., Italy
“Enjoyed having a choice of entrees. Excellent service. Perfect space to celebrate the trip.” – ACIS Group Leader Elizabeth S., France

We also take special dietary requirements seriously. Whether accommodating health restrictions or religious observances, there will always be a delicious option available.
“I very much appreciated the way they bent over backwards to meet special dietary needs. Well thought-out menu.” – ACIS Group Leader Jim L., France
“Loved how accommodating they were since it was Good Friday and half the kids weren’t eating meat. The appetizers that were given were fantastic! And having two pasta choices was nice.” – ACIS Group Leader Michelle C., Italy

Quality Options
Providing choice is important but the first step is to make sure everything you can choose between is high quality! Delicious, local and filling: These are three key components of an ACIS meal.
“I’ve never had such great food on a group trip before. The food was excellent quality even when prepared for a large group which was so appreciated.” – ACIS Group Leader Allison R., Iceland
“The food was abundant, and all three courses, along with the salad, were delicious.” – ACIS Group Leader Maria K., Italy

“The meal could not have been better; the salad was great; the steak was excellent, and the dessert was fabulous!” ACIS Group Leader April A., Iceland
