Cultural Connections

From post-game moments with local clubs to exploring landmarks like Heidelberg Castle, Dachau Memorial, and Neuschwanstein, this tour offers immersive cultural experiences that celebrate Germany’s complex history, scenic beauty, and passion for sport.

Movie Night in Munich

Leave the tourist sights behind and head where the locals do in the evening—the neighborhood cinema to watch a film in German. Nothing brings the German language to life more or gives you insight into a typical daily experience like this opportunity to relax and enjoy some local entertainment. Even the popcorn and candy counter can provide a unique opportunity to note the similarities and differences of an activity you might also do at home.

Munich by Bike

Lace up your sneakers, hop aboard a bike and explore Munich on two wheels. Pedal down historic old streets past delightful courtyards and the University buildings, explore the popular Englischer Garten park and ride along the city’s river. Pick out differences in architecture between distinct neighborhoods and discover the shops and squares that residents frequent as you get off the beaten path. The specific route may vary to provide the best possible experience each time, but no matter which lively corner of Munich you discover, sightseeing by bicycle is a fun way to get close to the city’s hidden gems.
Bicycle helmets are available and encouraged for use by all participants.
