How to Apply for the U.K. Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA)

If you’re traveling to or connecting through the U.K., the new Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) is a necessary step for entry. Starting January 8, 2025, all visa-exempt travelers with non-European passports must apply for an ETA before departing. This guide provides clear, actionable steps to ensure your application process is quick and hassle-free.

Step 1

Access the U.K. ETA Application Portal

Download the official ETA app from Apple’s App Store or Google Play. If you can’t download the app for some reason, you can also apply via the official UK ETA Website.

Wait for Confirmation and Travel with Your Approved ETA
