Rise early to witness a fine example of British pageantry—the Opening Ceremony at the Tower of London. Still listed as an official Royal residence, the Queen's Guard is responsible for guard duties at the Tower and this traditional Opening Ceremony includes, with requisite pomp and circumstance, a march by the military escort and Yeoman Sergeant to open its gates for the day. Once admitted, explore the glittering Crown Jewels, learn the legend behind the Ravens, see Henry VIII's suit of armour, and imagine beheadings on the Tower Green.
