Baseball Christmas Break - Dominican Republic

December 28 - January 4, 2026

Itinerary

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Sunday December 28: Santo Domingo

Depart the USA and arrive in the Dominican Republic where you will meet your tour manager who will be with you for the duration of your trip. Head to your hotel for check-in then enjoy an orientation tour before dinner. (D)

Day 2, Monday December 29: Santo Domingo

This morning begin to explore Santo Domingo and take a Chu-Chu colonial historical train tour through the Colonial Zone, a UNESCO World Cultural Site and the historic central area of Santo Domingo. See the Cathedral of Santa Maria la Menor, the first cathedral of the Americas, the Ozama Fortress overlooking the river, the Franciscan Monastery ruins and other historic sites. This afternoon, begins the Dominican Games 1 and 2. Please note: International gateways, dates of games, excursions and overnight cities are subject to change. (B,D)

Day 3, Tuesday December 30: Santo Domingo

This morning you will play game 3. After lunch, visit the Fundación Verde Profundo (Deep Green Foundation) in nearby Boca Chica, where you will learn about the work they do to rehabilitate the local marine life ecosystem and get the community involved. Then enjoy some relaxing time at one of Boca Chica's famed white sand beaches and swim in the crystal clear, turquoise waters. (B,D)

Day 4, Wednesday December 31: Santiago

Embark on a northern adventure and make a refreshing pit stop in Bonao, where you can unwind in the crystal-clear, cascading waters of Salto de Jima. In the late afternoon you will play game 4. Tonight enjoy New Year's Eve dinner at a local restaurant (B,D)

Day 5, Thursday January 1: Cabarete

This morning, enjoy a scenic cable car ride with panoramic views of Santiago de los Caballeros. Then, transfer to Puerto Plata for some free time to have lunch. Afterward, visit Monkey Jungle, where you’ll have the chance to interact with friendly monkeys in their natural habitat. For an extra thrill, zipline through the jungle, taking in the lush landscape while watching the monkeys swing through the trees. (B,D)

Day 6, Friday January 2: Cabarete

This morning you will engage in a service learning project with Cabarete Sostenible, a local non-profit. Cabarete Sostenible was created at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in response to a lack of food security for many of Cabarete’s residents. This program grows and distributes food on community plots while educating locals on how to provide for themselves. In the afternoon, play game 5. Later on in the evening, relax and enjoy a group dinner at the resort. (B,D)

Day 7, Saturday January 3: Cabarete

This morning enjoy a fantastic snorkeling excursion in Sosua Bay followed by lunch on your own. In the afternoon, engage in your second leadership workshop, with InspireDR. InspireDR provides free after-school and summer programs to teach boys practical life skills and instill positive values. Meet with some of the leaders within this organization to learn about their mission and their approach to offering solutions. In your last evening, enjoy a bonfire farewell dinner on the beach. (B,D)

Day 8, Sunday January 4: Departure

Depart for the USA. (B)
