Germanics Softball Tournament

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Monday July 28: Overnight Flight

Departure from the United States.

Day 2, Tuesday July 29: Deggendorf

Arrive in Munich and meet your 24 hour Tour Manager. Transfer into Munich to the Olympic Park for an orientation tour, then enjoy lunch on your own. Transfer to Deggendorf Area and check-in to your hotel. Please note: International gateways, dates of games, excursions and overnight cities are subject to change. (D)

Day 3, Wednesday July 30: Deggendorf

After breakfast, transfer to a local sports center for your first game against a local side. This afternoon, enjoy lunch on your own and discover Deggendorf at your own pace. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 4, Thursday July 31: Munich

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Dachau for a visit to the WWII memorial. Continue on to Munich inner-city for lunch on your own. Meet your local English-speaking guide for a city Bike Tour. Dinner and overnight in Munich. (B,D)

Day 5, Friday August 1: Munich

After breakfast, transfer to Füssen for a walking tour followed by a guided visit to Neuschwanstein Castle. Enjoy lunch on your own, then transfer to Immenstadt to take the chairlift up to a typical Bavarian alpine hut “Bärenfalle” and enjoy some stunning views. Later, descend the mountain on the famous “Alpsee coaster” and its 68 curves, 23 waves, 7 jumps and 4 bridges. This afternoon, transfer to a local field for your next game. (B,D)

Day 6, Saturday August 2: Frankfurt

After breakfast, check-out and head North West. Stop in Rothenburg for an orientation tour with your Tour Manager, then have lunch on your own. Continue to Frankfurt and check-in to your hotel. Enjoy a local dinner. (B,D)

Day 7, Sunday August 3: Frankfurt

After breakfast, transfer to Frankfurt inner-city. Meet your local guide for a cirty walk through Frankfurt. Enjoy lunch and sightseeing or shopping on your own. This afternoon, transfer to a local field for the tournament. (B, D)

Day 8, Monday August 4: Frankfurt

After breakfast, transfer to Heidelberg. Upon arrival, meet your local guide for a guided city walk through Heidelberg including a visit to Heidelberg Castle. Enjoy lunch and some free time. Day two of international tournament play culminating in an awards ceremony and dinner together. (B,D)

Day 9, Tuesday August 5: Departure

After breakfast, check-out and transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States. (B)
