Germanics Softball Tournament

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Monday July 28: Overnight Flight

Departure from the United States.

Day 2, Tuesday July 29: Munich

Arrive in Munich and meet your 24 hour Tour Manager. Transfer into Munich to the Olympic Park for an orientation tour, then enjoy lunch on your own. Check-in to your hotel. Transfer to the fields of Freising Grizzlies for joint training session. Dinner at the Sports Park. (D)

Day 3, Wednesday July 30: Munich

After breakfast, transfer to Dachau for a visit to the WWII memorial. Lunch on your own. Transfer to Donaustaufer to meet your sports assistant. Friendly game Team I & Team II on 2 fields against the Regensburg Legionäre. Dinner at the club restaurant next to the fields. (B,D)

Day 4, Thursday July 31: Munich

After breakfast, transfer to Oberammergau, then descend the mountain on the famous “Alpsee coaster” and its 68 curves, 23 waves, 7 jumps and 4 bridges. Transfer to Schwangau and enjoy lunch on your own, followed by a visit to Neuschwanstein Castle. This afternoon, transfer to local fields of the Munich Caribes for your next game. Enjoy a BBQ-Dinner next to the fields. (B,D)

Day 5, Friday August 1: Munich

After breakfast, transfer to Munich inner city. Meet your local English-speaking guide and pick-up your city bikes. Free time for lunch on your own in Munich inner city. Transfer to the fields of the Freising Grizzlies for your next game. Dinner at the Club restaurant. (B,D)

Day 6, Saturday August 2: Frankfurt

After breakfast, check-out and transfer to Rothenburg for an orientation tour with your Tour Manager, then have lunch on your own. Continue to Frankfurt and check-in to your hotel. (B,D)

Day 7, Sunday August 3: Frankfurt

After breakfast, transfer to the local fields of the Mannheim Tornados for your game. Food & Drinks included during the Tournament (voucher system). This afternoon, transfer to Frankfurt inner-city. Meet your local guide for a cirty walk through Frankfurt. Individual dinner in Frankfurt. (B,L)

Day 8, Monday August 4: Frankfurt

After breakfast, transfer to Heidelberg. Individual lunch followed by some free time. Meet your local guide for a guided city walk through Heidelberg including a visit to Heidelberg Castle. Transfer to the fields of the Romans Ladenburg for mixed team farewell activities, culminating in an awards ceremony and BBQ dinner together. (B,D)

Day 9, Tuesday August 5: Departure

After breakfast, check-out and transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States. (B)
