Day 1, Sunday August 1: Overnight Flight
Depart from the USA. This trip departs on August 1st, 2027.
Day 2, Monday August 2: Seoul
Welcome to South Korea! Arrive in Seoul where you will meet your ACIS Tour Manager and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is yours to begin exploring this city’s dynamic blend of modern culture and ancient history before coming together for dinner tonight. (D)
Day 3, Tuesday August 3: Seoul
Today enjoy a cultural sightseeing tour of Seoul. Witness the changing of the guard ceremony at Gyeongbokgung Palace, a city landmark and the largest palace among the Five Grand Palaces built in Joseon Dynasty. Nearby, you’ll explore Bukchon Hanok Village, a hilly, beautiful residential area known for its narrow winding streets and restored traditional Korean houses dating back to the same Dynasty. Then visit the colorful Jogyesa Temple, the center of Korean Zen Buddhism. Later today, join your fellow pilgrims from around the world for the World Youth Day Opening Mass, marking the official start of the week’s events. Dinner tonight is at a local restaurant. (B,D)
Day 4, Wednesday August 4: Seoul
After breakfast, take part in World Youth Day Youth Festival events around the host diocese, where music, prayer, cultural exchange, and friendship bring the experience to life. Dinner tonight is at a local restaurant. (B,D)
Day 5, Thursday August 5: Seoul
Today you’ll participate in the vibrant Papal Welcoming Ceremonies, where the Holy Father officially greets pilgrims and sets the tone for the days ahead. Dinner tonight is at a local restaurant. (B,D)
Day 6, Friday August 6: Seoul
Continue your World Youth Day journey today with Youth Festival events, celebrating faith and culture from around the world. As evening falls, participate in the Via Crucis with the Holy Father, a powerful and moving Stations of the Cross shared by thousands. Dinner tonight is at a local restaurant. (B,D)
Day 7, Saturday August 7: Seoul
This morning you’ll have time to explore more of Seoul at your own pace, or to rest and recharge. Later, gather at the venue for an evening prayer vigil with the Holy Father—one of the most memorable and spiritual highlights of World Youth Day. Or you may opt to take part in another scheduled activity instead. Dinner tonight is at a local restaurant. (B,D)
Day 8, Sunday August 8: Seoul
Begin the day by coming together with pilgrims from around the world for the inspiring and joyful Closing Mass with the Holy Father. The afternoon is yours to reflect, further explore Seoul’s highlights, or enjoy shared time with new friends made throughout this special journey. Dinner tonight is at a local restaurant. (B,D)
Day 9, Monday August 9: Departure
