A staple of Mediterranean cuisine stretching far back in time, pizza is an important and delicious part of Italian history and culture. From crust to toppings, a professional pizza chef will teach you the steps to creating the perfect pie, Roman style. Knead, roll and spin the dough, top it with sauce and toppings in the traditional way and watch brown and bubble in a brick oven. Then feast on your own creation for dinner!

Depart from the USA.
Arrive in Venice, the Queen of the Adriatic, and transfer by private motor launch to the Lido. Spend the afternoon exploring the city's winding streets and canals.
Consisting of an archipelago carved by nearly 150 canals into 118 different islands, the incomparable city of Venice contains a wealth of sights. Arrive in St. Mark's Square where you can see the Basilica of St. Mark before enjoying entrance to the Gothic Doge's Palace, including the Bridge of Sighs, which connected the old prisons of Venice to the palace's interrogation rooms. Then learn more about one of Venice’s most famous exports during an authentic glassblowing demonstration before visiting the historic Fondaco dei Tedeschi for breathtaking views of the Grand Canal from its rooftop. Stop for a photo at Rialto Bridge en route to an authentic
cicchetteria where you will sample traditional Venetian-style tapas. Then explore more at your own pace with unlimited access to the entire canal network and smaller islands using your vaporetto pass. You'll feel like a local in no time.
Drive to Maranello, where we'll get your engines revving with a tour of the Ferrari Museum. Next you'll enjoy a
Balsamic vinegar tasting—visit a four-generation farm and production facility near Modena to learn about the family's process for making and aging the famed Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena before tasting a few of the varietals. Continue to Tuscany and its magnificent capital, Florence. Tonight perhaps stroll out to see the iconic Ponte Vecchio, with its bustling gold shops all lit up at night.
During today's sightseeing tour a local guide provides commentary while showing you Brunelleschi's splendid Duomo, Ghiberti's famous Baptistry Doors, Ponte Vecchio, Santa Croce (where many illustrious Italians, including Michelangelo and Galileo, have been buried) and the Piazza della Signoria—the political center of the Renaissance city. Also, breeze by the crowds with your own timed entrance to the Accademia, which houses Michelangelo's David. There is no shortage of wonderful places to eat in Florence, and you'll get to dine like (and with) the locals using our insider tips and restaurant vouchers.
Journey to Orvieto. Once a major center of the Etruscan civilization, the city is perched high on a plateau of volcanic tufa stone and is known form its gothic Duomo, whose dramatic outline is visible for miles around. Visit the Duomo and Capella San Brizio before heading underground on a guided cave walk through the secret labyrinth of tunnels carved into the soft rock beneath the city's streets. Once you emerge above ground, you'll head to Rome. Your tour manager will introduce you to Rome with an evening walking tour that winds past the imposing illuminated columns of the Pantheon and into the ever-lively Piazza Navona.
Rome is called “The Eternal City” because the ancient Romans believed that no matter what empires rose and fell, Rome would endure forever. Today's sightseeing tour introduces you to every phase of Rome's legendary history with a panoramic drive of the city. In addition, your local guide accompanies you through the incomparable Vatican Museums, including Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel, and continues to St. Peter's Basilica. In the evening try your hand at an Italian tradition with a
pizza making lesson and dinner. Pay close attention to the pizza chef's presentation on how to lay out the dough for a perfect pie, top it with ingredients in the Roman style and finish it off in the oven. Work in teams to assemble and cook your own creations as you enjoy an authentic, brick oven pizza dinner.
