Arrive in Bangkok. Meet your tour manager and transfer to the hotel.
Discover the city on a guided sightseeing tour, then board a boat for a ride through the canals of Thonburi Klongs. You'll also see the Grand Palace, an impressive example of an ancient Siamese court. This afternoon is yours to enjoy at your own pace.
Spend the day today west of Bangkok, first experiencing the incredible floating market of Damnoen Saduak
. After lunch at the Sampran Riverside resort, you'll visit Patom Organic Village where you can take part in a hands-on workshop to learn more about the journey of organic raw materials into Patom food and personal care products. Then tour a local farm where you'll learn more about sustainable and organic farming.
When you have finished breakfast, transfer to the airport for a flight to Siem Reap. After arriving and checking in at the hotel, your tour will bring you to the South Gate of Angkor Thom, the Inner Royal City, built at the end of the 12th century. Within the walls of Angkor Thom, you'll be able to visit Bayon—the ancient temple grounds—the temple of Phimeanakas and Elephant Terrace. This afternoon, you'll tour the magnificent Angkor Wat, built in the 12th century.
The temples around the Siem Reap area will continue to astound you. The ones you will visit today were built between the 10th and 13th centuries and are dedicated to Hindu gods or to Buddha. Among those you will see this morning are Kravan, Pre Rup, Mebon Oriental, Ta Som, Neak Pean and Preah Khan. After lunch, you'll continue with Srah Srang, Ta Prohm, Takeo, Thommanon and Chau Say Tevoda. Finally, climb the temple stairs to see the spectacular sunset from Phnom Bakheng.
Take a boat trip on the Tonle Sap, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. After lunch, you'll tour Les Chantiers Ecole, a handicraft center in the center of Siem Reap. Les Chantiers Ecole was founded in 1992 and its aim is to revive the ancient art of Khmer workmanship. You'll also stop by a local market before transferring to the airport for the flight to Ho Chi Minh City.
After a good night's rest and breakfast at the hotel, tour the amazing complex of underground tunnels used in the Vietnam War at Cu Chi
. Then meet with an expert calligraphy instructor to learn about the honored art of Vietnamese calligraphy
. This afternoon's sightseeing tour of Ho Chi Minh includes the War Remnants Museum, former Presidential Palace and Thien Hau Pagoda.
Today, enjoy a boat trip along the Mekong River. Experience the daily life of the people who live and work on the river. A stop at the floating market of Cai Be is included.
