Itinerary

This itinerary is the starting point for your tour, but it’s not set in stone. If there are days you would like to change, or specific places you’d like to go, we can work with you to create a personalized program that fits the needs of you and your students.

Day 1: Overnight Flight

Depart from the USA.

Day 2: Seville

Bienvenidos a España! Meet your ACIS Tour Manager and begin to acquaint yourself with Andalucía's sparkling and festive capital.

Day 3: Seville

Today's guided sightseeing tour will show you Seville's highlights including the city's immense Gothic Cathedral, burial place of Christopher Columbus, and the grand Giralda Tower with its panoramic views. In the evening, stroll the old section of the city, past the Torre de Oro or into the Parque María Luisa.

Day 4: Madrid

Drive to Córdoba this morning for a sightseeing tour that includes the Moorish Mezquita and the narrow lanes of whitewashed buildings where traditional Spanish culture thrives. In the afternoon board the high-speed AVE train to Madrid, Spain's modern capital. Start to explore your surroundings or sample some authentic tapas dishes.

Day 5: Madrid

Madrid's rich heritage comes alive on a guided morning walking tour that showcases classic Spanish boulevards, grand plazas and the diverse architecture of modern-day Madrid. Highlights include the Teatro Real Opera House, Royal Palace, Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol and Neptune Fountain. You'll also go inside the magnificent Prado (skipping the lines with a timed reservation), one of the world's premier art museums. Here an expert will provide illuminating commentary about the artwork of Velázquez, Goya, Raphael, Rubens and Bosch. Even the 18th-century neo-classical building that houses the collection is stunning. During your free afternoon, soak up more impressive art at the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum or sample the lavish lifestyle of Spain's Bourbon kings in the Palacio Real.

Day 6: Paris

This morning hop a flight from Madrid to Paris and then begin to explore the City of Light. In the evening see the sites shine from a different perspective, when you enjoy an evening boat cruise on the Seine.

Day 7: Paris

Your day begins with a guided sightseeing tour that takes you past some of the most famous attractions in Paris. Your expert local guide will show you the magnificent Arc de Triomphe at the top of the Champs-Élysées, Napoleon's final resting place at Les Invalides and the Gothic wonder of Notre Dame. Later, breeze by the crowds with your timed entrance to the Louvre and discover the many famous masterpieces that call it home. Insightful commentary from your local guide highlights the Mona Lisa, Winged Victory, Venus de Milo and more as you wander through the galleries. From its beginnings as a royal fortress to its current status as the world's most visited art museum, the Louvre has long been at the center of Parisian culture and home to a collection of 35,000 works of art from around the world. In the evening a tasty cultural exchange awaits—separate into small groups and be welcomed into the homes of local Parisians to enjoy an authentic dinner and lively conversation.

Day 8: Paris

Today is free to further explore Paris as you please. Perhaps stroll through Montmartre to the white-domed Sacré Cœur or seek out a lesser known but equally interesting attraction such as the Musée Marmottan-Monet, housing the artist's Impression, Sunrise—the painting for which the Impressionist movement was named. Or you may choose to travel to Versailles to visit the intricate gardens and stunning palaces of the Sun King, Louis the XIV. Your visit would include the Hall of Mirrors, where the Treaty of Versailles was signed, and the breathtaking gardens and grounds.

Day 9: Departure

Depart for the USA.
