Annecy – Visit and boat ride
Annecy is a very quaint, pretty town, which has beautiful views across the lake with the Alps in the background.
The bus parks on the lakeside just off the Quai de Bayreuth and if you walk down to you left (with the lake on your right) you come to the town and the departure point for boat trips.
Annecy Bus Parking – Quai de la Tournette:

You exchange your voucher for tickets at the kiosk on the left-hand side – sometimes it opens only 30 mins before departure, so don’t be alarmed if it’s closed when you first arrive.
Arrange to meet the group back in front of the kiosk 15 mins before the boat departure time.
The town is relatively small and it’s easy to find your way around. The Thiou canal runs through the centre and is lined with cafés, restaurants and shops.
The tourist office is on the corner of the Quai Perrière and the Pont de la Halle – across the street from where the boats leave.
There is a small castle that can be visited – it was once home to the Dukes of Nemours and Counts of Geneveois. It now houses a small exhibition of local history. The Rue Sainte Claire is full of arcaded houses and shops.
Opposite the boat departure point, on the other side of the lake, the group can lounge in the park, the “Jardins de l’Europe” or hire pedalos. Both are located just behind the town hall.
If from the bus park you walk to the right along the lakeside (with the lake on the left) you’ll eventually come to the boat club then a little further on to a small beach where groups can swim. There are toilets and showers by the beach and other bathrooms in the bus park as well as in the Jardins de l’Europe.
There are also bicycles for hire that you can ride around the lake.
