Your driver may want to take the Motorway all the way via Genova, Voltri, Alessandria, Vercelli and Ivrea (A26), joining the A5 at Santhia. The only lunch possibility is at Stura: 112km from Santhia and 24km from Genova Voltri.
Alternatively, if you leave Chamonix early enough you could try to have a morning snack in a service station near Torino (Turin) and stop for a late lunch/snack in San Remo which is about an hour after Savona.
