Routes
Time your morning departure according to the time of your lunch reservation in Dijon (check your voucher). Allow an hour for a short walking tour before lunch.

Dijon – short visit & lunch stop
Coming from Paris, follow signs to Dijon Centre and Gare SNCF. This will bring you along the Avenue Albert Premier (see map).
Coming from Geneva, take exit 2, Dijon Sud, then the next exit, which will lead you to the N74. Take this towards Dijon and follow signs to Centre and Gare SNCF (see map).
Drive to the Place de la Libération and set down in front of the Palais des Ducs. NB The Rue de la Liberté is authorised for tour buses. The driver has to go and park at the railway station. Tell him where to meet you for lunch.
Take the group into the Cour d’ Honneur and follow the route indicated on the walking tour map. Show them first the different courtyards of the Palais des Ducs. The rue Verrerie has pretty half-timbered houses. The rue de la Chouette takes you round to Notre Dame Cathedral – look out for the three rows of false gargoyles on the West front.
In the rue des Forges, point out no 34, a C15th mansion built for the Chambellan family who were wealthy cloth merchants. If you can, have a look at the courtyard with its famous carved wooden loggia and spiral staircase.
The Place Rude has a fountain with a sculpted figure trampling the grapes in time honoured tradition. Rejoin the rue de la Liberté, Dijon’s main shopping street.
Walk the group to the restaurant (see voucher). After lunch, walk back to the bus.
