Punting on the River Cam

This is one unique experience that is definitely hands-on. In fact, we’ll give you a few helpful instructions and a pole to hold onto as you break into small groups to board traditional ‘punts’ which are open boats similar to a small gondola. This is a cherished hobby for Cambridge University students along the lovely River Cam and now you can experience it too. Learn a bit about the activity’s history as you enjoy trying your hand at propelling the punt forward by pushing off from the riverbed and capturing the sights along the way.
