Maltese Food Tasting Lunch

Enjoy a meal of authentic Maltese cuisine as you interact with and are served by local volunteers. This fabulous cultural exchange opportunity introduces you to the ingredients and flavors that make up traditional local specialties such as Maltese bread with a tomato paste called kunserva; pastries known as pastizzi; qassatat (mini pea and ricotta pies); timpana, a baked pasta; tuna ftira, a flatbread with tuna and olives; Bigilla (local hummus); peppered goat cheese; and traditional sweets.
