Itinerary

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Wednesday March 22: Overnight Flight

Departure from the United States.

Day 2, Thursday March 23: Vienna

Arrive at Vienna and transfer to your city center hotel. Your Tour Manager will lead you on a brief orientation tour of the area, before you take dinner together. (D)

Day 3, Friday March 24: Vienna

After breakfast, a morning panoramic guided tour will include the highlights of the city including the Stephansdom, Vienna Opera and Hofburg Palace. This afternoon take part in a masterclass/ workshop with a member of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, before your concert in a venue such as the Gläsener Saal in the Musikverein building itself! End your day with a dinner together at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 4, Saturday March 25: Vienna

This morning, travel the short distance outside Vienna to Eisenstadt, home for many years to the composer Joseph Haydn, to enjoy a guided tour through the Esterházy Palace including the 17th century 'Haydnsaal' with its wonderful acoustics, where Haydn himself conducted the premieres of many of his works. Entrance is also included to the Haydn Mausoleum at the Haydnkirche where the great composer rests. Return to the city for dinner and an evening visit to the Prater amusement park (B,D)

Day 5, Sunday March 26: Prague

Depart Vienna this morning and enjoy a picturesque drive through the countryside on the way to Prague. Stop in the beautiful medieval town of Cesky Krumlov, a Unesco World Heritage Site, with its pretty streets and atmospheric castle. Continue to Prague where you will check-in to your hotel and become acquainted with the city with your tour manager. (B,D)

Day 6, Monday March 27: Prague

After breakfast take a guided sightseeing tour of historic Prague on foot (the only way to experience this wonderful ancient city!) beginning with the Castle district. Continue past the Old Royal Palace and St. Vitus Cathedral as you make your way to the Old Town, where you'll cross the famous Charles Bridge. This afternoon depart for the tiny town of Nelahozeves to visit Dvorak's birthplace and experience the true Czech countryside. Return to Prague in time for dinner together (B,D)

Day 7, Tuesday March 28: Prague

Today, enjoy a tour of the Estates Theater, which is one of the most beautiful historic theaters in Europe, where Mozart himself conducted the world premiere of Don Giovanni in 1787. After some time to explore the city at your leisure, tonight perform a concert at a local venue, such as one of the many Cultural Centers in the city. Celebrate your successful tour with a farewell dinner cruise on the river Vltava, as the sun sets behind the spectacular castle! (B,D)

Day 8, Wednesday March 29: Departure

Transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States. (B)
