Itinerary

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Thursday June 18: Overnight Flight

Departure from the United States on your overnight flight to Chile

Day 2, Friday June 19: Santiago

Welcome to Chile! Upon arrival, meet your Tour Managers and transfer to your comfortable city center hotel. This afternoon, enjoy an orientation with your Tour Managers to see the sights of Santiago including Santa Lucia Hill, La Moneda Palace, the Plaza de Armas and the Iglesia de San Francisco. After time to freshen-up, enjoy a Chilean welcome dinner together this evening (D).

Day 3, Saturday June 20: Santiago

After breakfast in the hotel, included throughout your tour, take a cable car trip up the San Cristobal hill for spectacular views of the city. After lunch together have a comprehensive first rehearsal of the tour, before transferring to your first concert venue. Tonight perform in a venue such as the Metropolitan Cathedral of Santiago or the Metropolitan Theater. Dinner will be together in a nearby restaurant following the performance. (B,L,D)

Day 4, Sunday June 21: Santiago

After breakfast depart for the Aquas de Ramon National Park, where a trail hike brings you the Apoquindo Waterfall and views of the Andes mountain range. This afternoon after lunch participate in a workshop with a local choir and eminent clinician. Later perform a joint concert in a venue such as the Templo Mayor at the Catholic University followed by a fellowship dinner with your new choir friends! (B,L,D)

Day 5, Monday June 22: Santiago

Today take a full day trip to both Vina del Mar and Valparaiso. Vina del Mar is Chile's main beach resort where you'll have time to enjoy the seaside and have lunch in the fishing village of Con-Con. in Valparaiso, a major cruise ship port, you'll be able to explore the town with its artisan stores and food outlets Tonight you'll perform your next concert in a local chuch or cultural center (B,L,D)

Day 6, Tuesday June 23: Buenos Aires

Check out of the hotel this morning and board your flight to Buenos Aires, Argentina! Upon arrival dive straight into this European-influenced city known as the Paris of South America! After a quick lunch explore the Southern section, including the Plaza de Mayo with the Presidential Palace, the 'Womens' Bridge', and the colorful La Boca neighborhood. Later you'll take part in a Tango workshop before watching the professionals at a dinner-tango show (B,L,D)

Day 7, Wednesday June 24: Buenos Aires

A morning sightseeing tour will introduce you to the North part of the city, including the pretty Recoleta neighborhood, 'The Flower' monument, and the open spaces of the Palermo Parks. This afternoon after lunch, you will rehearse for your next concert performance at a venue such as the Guadelupe Church in the Navy College. Enjoy dinner together afterwards in a restaurant. (B,L,D)

Day 8, Thursday June 25: Colonia del Sacramento

After breakfast, you will board the fast ferry and travel across the Rio de la Plata to Colonia del Sacramento in Uruguay. On arrival, take lunch before enjoying a sightseeing tour of this Portuguese fortress city that was founded in the 17th century, including the city walls, and the Old Lighthouse with views back towards the skyscrapers of Buenos Aires 30 miles away. Lunch is included today! Check into your hotel for your overnight stay, before returning to your concert venue to rehearse. Your next concert tonight could be in the historic Igleisa Matriz church in the heart of the town followed by dinner in the town. (B,L,D)

Day 9, Friday June 26: Buenos Aires

After breakfast check out and take the ferry back across the River Plate to Buenos Aires. A bag lunch is provided today, whilst you have the afternoon to explore the Recoleta Artisan Market. Dinner is in a local restaurant near to your hotel (B,L,D)

Day 10, Saturday June 27: Buenos Aires

After breakfast take a tour of the most famous concert venues in the world and one of the world's top Opera houses, El Teatro Colon! After lunch rehearse for your final concert in Buenos Aires before a farewell dinner together. (B,L,D)

Day 11, Sunday June 28: Departure

This morning, check out of your rooms and store your luggage, before departing to spend some time as a traditional Gaucho (Argentinian cowboy) in the Argentine pampas. You'll discover this traditional Argentine way of life, take a short horseback or carriage ride, watch a thrilling horseback riding and roping display, and lunch a tasty Asado Argentinian barbecue, before heading to the airport for your evening flight home

Day 12, Monday June 29: United States

Arrive home in the United States.
