DeWitt Community Singers Tour of the UK!

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Wednesday August 19: Overnight Flight

Departure from the United States.

Day 2, Thursday August 20: Edinburgh

Welcome to beautiful Scotland! Arrive in Edinburgh and meet your Tour Manager at the airport. Transfer to your hotel and get settled in before a welcome dinner and performance of the Military Tattoo this evening. (D)

Day 3, Friday August 21: Edinburgh

After breakfast, which is included each day of the tour, a local guide will take you on a sightseeing tour of Scotland's capital! You will see Princes Street, Charlotte Square, Holyrood Palace, the famous Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle. This afternoon, visit the Royal Yacht Britannia, a whisky tasting will follow. Later, prepare for your debut concert performance, which will take place at St. Giles' Cathedral. Then visit the beautiful Royal Botanic Garden. Enjoy dinner together this evening at a local restaurant. (B, D)

Day 4, Saturday August 22: London

Today, you will board the train to London's King Cross. Transfer to the hotel, freshen up, and then have time to explore London. You will have oyster cards for the train for four days. This evening, attend St. Paul's Evensong at 5 pm. (B, D)

Day 5, Sunday August 23: London

This morning, we are having a tour of London with a local guide throughout London with a visit to Buckingham Palace.Attend a Theater matinee depending on availability. (B,D))

Day 6, Monday August 24: London

Enjoy an excursion to Windsor Castle this morning. A Royal home and fortress for over 900 years, it is the largest occupied castle in the world and remains a working palace today. Also, visit St. George's Chapel and Queen Mary's Doll House. This evening, enjoy dinner together.

Day 7, Tuesday August 25: London

Enjoy some free time in London today to explore at your own pace. This afternoon, prepare for your final tour concert at Holy Trinity Church. Tonight, enjoy a farewell dinner to celebrate your successful concert tour! (B, D)

Day 8, Wednesday August 26: Departure

Transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States. (B)
