Itinerary
The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.
Day 1, Sunday April 5: Overnight Flight
Depart from the USA. Overnight flight to Europe.
Day 2, Monday April 6: Athens
Upon arrival in Athens, you will be met by your Tour Manager and transfer to your hotel. After check in, have time to unpack and freshen up after your flight. Then enjoy a welcome dinner together at the hotel this evening. (B,D)
Day 3, Tuesday April 7: Athens
Sightseeing with a local guide features the spectacular Acropolis and the Parthenon, which dominates the city and stands as a powerful and impressive memorial to the remarkable civilization that built it. You will also enjoy a visit to the exciting new Acropolis Museum. Enjoy lunch and time for exploration at your own pace this afternoon. Later in the afternoon, perform your first concert at a local venue! Afterwards, walk to a nearby restaurant where you will have dinner together. (B,D)
Day 4, Wednesday April 8: Athens
Enjoy a full day boat cruise with lunch included to the beautiful islands of Hydra, Aegina and Poros in the Saronic Gulf, home to artist colonies, pretty villages, and stunning secluded beaches. Return to Athens for dinner together at your hotel. (B,L,D)
Day 5, Thursday April 9: Overnight Ferry
After breakfast check out and travel to Corinth which, during ancient times was the richest city in Greece and is where Apostle Paul lived for quite some time. You will visit the Corinth Archaeological Park and Museum as well as visit the “vima” or step where Apostle Paul was led to be tried by the Roman Proconsul Galliia. Later continue to Patras to board an overnight ferry to Bari. Dinner and breakfast will be served on board, and you will have cabin accommodation provided (B,D)
Day 6, Friday April 10: Sorrento
Breakfast will be served on board the ferry this morning. After disembarking, travel through the olive groves across Southern Italy to Sorrento. Here, perform at a local venue such as the Sant'Agnello Sanctuary, before continuing to your overnight stop for dinner. (B,D)
Day 7, Saturday April 11: Rome
Depart from Sorrento and drive to Rome, stopping en route at the ancient archeological site of Pompeii for a guided tour and visit. Continue north to the capital and check into your hotel where you will have time to unpack and relax. This evening, enjoy dinner together at a nearby restaurant. (B,D)
Day 8, Sunday April 12: Rome
Start your day with a tour through the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel with personal headsets. Today you will perform your final tour concert at a local venue such as the Caravita Oratory. Tonight, enjoy dinner together at a local restaurant. (B,D)
Day 9, Monday April 13: Rome
Today tour the ancient city on a panoramic tour including a visit to the Colosseum. Imagine the roar of spectators as they cheered on gladiators battling one another both on the ground and on water! This afternoon you could participate in a pizza-making workshop, before enjoying the results of your efforts tonight at a pizza dinner to celebrate your successful tour! (B,D)
Day 10, Tuesday April 14: Departure
Transfer to the airport for your return flights to the USA. (B)
