Wienieski Strings 2025 Tour of Italy

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Thursday June 12: Overnight Flight

Depart from the USA.

Day 2, Friday June 13: Venice

Welcome to Italy! Upon arrival in Venice, the Queen of the Adriatic, meet your Encore Tour Manager and transfer to your hotel. After getting checked-in, start exploring this magnificent city of canals and palaces with your 72 hour vaporetto pass, which allows you to come and go throughout the city as you please. Dinner will be together tonight at a local restaurant. (D) Please note that the cost of tronchetto pass for the motorcoach from Venice Mainland to Venicxe Lido is not included. Those wishing to go into Venice on arrival day will do so via local train and vapporetto at own expense. (D)

Day 3, Saturday June 14: Venice

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before your full-day in Venice! board the Vaporetto waterbus and sail into downtown Venice. Among the highlights today is the guided Vivaldi tour featuring Santa Maria dela Pieta and teh Brgora Church. This evening's highlight is the string ensemble's debut concert in Italy at the San Rocco church (please note this venue requires sacred music and does not allow for dancing. After your concert, enjoy dinner together at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 4, Sunday June 15: Cremona

After breakfast at your hotel, depart Venice for Cremona. After check in at your hotel, enjoy a walking tour with your Tour Manager that includes the city's Duomo and visits to local string makers to see how custom stringed instruments are handcrafted by these local artisians. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant and the overnight in Cremona. (B,D)

Day 5, Monday June 16: Cremona

After breakfast at your hotel visit the city's collection of rare stringed instruments and an inspiring private concert by a local professional given on some of these centries' old stringed instruments. Later this afternoon, present a concert in this historic city. Venues include the Cortile Federico and the Auditorium Manenti. Celebrate your second concert at dinner at a local restaurant this evening. (B,D)

Day 6, Tuesday June 17: Assisi

After breakfast at your hotel in Cremona, board your motorcoach for a the region of Umbria. After arriving in Assisi ,visit the Basilica of St. Francis where Giotto depicted the life of st. Francis on the ceiling of the Upper Basilica. The rest of the early evening is free before dinner together in a local restaurant and the overnight in Assisi. (B,D)

Day 7, Wednesday June 18: Rome

After breakfast at your hotel, depart Assisi and head to Rome! Rome is called "The Eternal City" because the ancient Romans believed that no matter what empires rose and fell, Rome would endure forever. A local guide accompanies you through the Vatican Museums, including the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica. Enjoy an afternoon as leisure before dinner together in a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 8, Thursday June 19: Rome

This morning, explore the iconic and historic Colosseum with a local guide and learn the many stories of this nearly 2,000-year-old Roman landmark that's considered one of the architectural wonders of the ancient world. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure before rehearsal and your farewell concert this evening at San Paolo entro le Mura! (This venue allows an all secular program including dancing. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant and the overnight in Rome. (B,D)

Day 9, Friday June 20: Departure

Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the US. (B)
