Itinerary
The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.
Day 1, Thursday June 17: Overnight Flight
Departure from the United States.
Day 2, Friday June 18: Dubrovnik
Arrive in Croatia this morning and meet your Encore Tour Manager who will transfer you to the Hotel Kompass. Freshen up, relax and start exploring the beautiful, historical city of Dubrovnik. This evening, your Tour Manager will walk you to a local restaurant in the Old Town for a welcome dinner together. (D)
Day 3, Saturday June 19: Dubrovnik
This morning's guided sightseeing will introduce you to the resort area that was once described by George Bernard Shaw as "heaven on earth." Discover the ancient city walls, the old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the harbor. Enjoy some free time and later the afternoon, come together for your first overseas rehearsal at the venue. Tonight, perform your debut European concert at a local venue such as St Ignatius Church. Dinner will be independent today. (B)
Day 4, Sunday June 20: Split
Check out of the hotel this morning and travel north to the city of Split. This former Greek colony is famous for the massive Diocletian's Palace, named after the great Roman emperor for whom it was built around 300 AD. Exhibiting a mix of the traditional and the modern, today's exploration of the bustling city of Split with your Tour Manager will give you an opportunity to see how Dalmatian life is truly lived. Check into your hotel and enjoy dinner on your own this evening. (B)
Day 5, Monday June 21: Split
Spend the morning in Split exploring on your own or with your tour manager. There will also be an optional excursion to the nearby coastal town of Trogir, known for its Old Town and mix of Renaissance, Baroque and Romanesque buildings. Later this afternoon will be your mission concert venue to be determined, with reception to follow. Dinner will be on your ownt. (B)
Day 6, Tuesday June 22: Ljubljana
This morning, travel to the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana stopping en route to visit the magnificent Plitvice Lakes National Park, one of the oldest and largest natural parks in Croatia. Later, on arrival in Ljubljana, check into the Hotel Lev and have dinner as a group tonight in a local restaurant. (B,D)
Day 7, Wednesday June 23: Ljubljana
This morning, meet your local guide for a comprehensive sightseeing tour of Ljubljana, discovering the charming highlights of Slovenia’s capital, from its picturesque Old Town and elegant bridges to the vibrant riverside cafés. Following the tour, enjoy a relaxing afternoon at leisure to explore independently, shop for souvenirs, or simply soak in the atmosphere of this inviting city. Your final performance may be held here in Ljubljana, or you may choose to present an informal concert followed by a final featured performance in Venice. In the late afternoon, gather for a rehearsal in preparation for this evening’s concert at St. Jakob's Church or a similar local venue. Dinner will be on your own this evening. (B)
Day 8, Thursday June 24: Venice
This morning, depart the hotel and travel the short distance north to view the stunningly beautiful Lake Bled in its picturesque natural surroundings. Continue your journey across into Italy and to Venice! Known as the Queen of the Adriatic, Venice consists of an archipelago carved by nearly 150 canals into 118 different islands. It is simply incomparable to any other city and a must-see for any traveler once in their lifetime! On arrival, check into your hotel and start exploring with your tour manager or on your own. Dinner will be independent this evening. (B)
Day 9, Friday June 25: Venice
Meet your local guide for a walking tour orientation through the heart of Venice, beginning in the iconic St. Mark's Square and visiting the magnificent St. Mark's Basilica. Continue on to view the legendary Bridge of Sighs, which connects the historic Doge's Palace to the old prison. This afternoon, enjoy free time to explore at your own pace—perhaps take an optional gondola ride through the city’s enchanting canals, witness the artistry of traditional Venetian glass-making, or visit the renowned Peggy Guggenheim Collection. Later, gather for a rehearsal in preparation for your final concert this evening. Alternatively, if you choose to hold your final concert in Ljubljana, you may present an informal performance at a distinguished local venue such as the Scuola Grande di San Rocco. Conclude your journey with a festive farewell dinner together this evening. (B,D)
Day 10, Saturday June 26: Departure
Transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States. (B)
