Performance Tour to The Balkans

Day 1, Thursday April 15: Overnight Flight

Departure from the United States.

Day 2, Friday April 16: Dubrovnik

Arrive in Croatia this morning and meet your Encore Tour Manager who will transfer you to the Hotel Kompass. Freshen up, relax and start exploring the beautiful, historical city of Dubrovnik. This evening, your Tour Manager will walk you to a local restaurant in the Old Town for a welcome dinner together. (B,D)

Day 3, Saturday April 17: Dubrovnik

This morning’s guided sightseeing will introduce you to the resort area that was once described by George Bernard Shaw as “heaven on earth.” Discover the ancient city walls, the old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the harbor. Enjoy some free time and later the afternoon, come together for your first overseas rehearsal at the venue. Tonight, perform your debut European concert at a local venue such as St Ignatius Church. Dinner will be independent today. (B,D)

Day 4, Sunday April 18: Dubrovnik

Spend the day in Dubrovnik, where history and beauty come alive at every turn. Start your morning by strolling along the ancient city walls, soaking in panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea and the terracotta rooftops of the Old Town. Wander through the cobblestone streets of the UNESCO-listed Old Town, visiting iconic landmarks like the Rector's Palace, Sponza Palace, and the stunning Cathedral of the Assumption. For lunch, indulge in local seafood at one of the quaint seaside restaurants along the Stradun, Dubrovnik's main thoroughfare. In the afternoon, take a cable car ride up Mount Srd for breathtaking vistas of the city and surrounding islands. Finish the day by relaxing on the beach with the sun setting behind the fortress walls. (B,D)

Day 5, Monday April 19: Split

Today we travel to Split. Begin to explore this beautiful jewel on the Adriatic with your Tour Manager. Enjoy your dinner together at a local restaurant. Return to your hotel for a good night's sleep. (B,D)

Day 6, Tuesday April 20: Split

Discover the city of Split on a guided sightseeing tour this morning. You'll see the highlights of the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, including the relics of Diocletian's Palace, built by the retired Roman emperor in the 4th century and around which the city grew. Enjoy lunch on your own, as throughout your tour and some free time to explore at your leisure. In the afternoon, transfer to a local venue such as St Domnius Cathedral to rehearse in preparation for your first concert this evening. Dinner will be together this evening between rehearsal and concert. (B,D)

Day 7, Wednesday April 21: Zadar

Travel north up the Adriatic Coast today to the town of Zadar, known for its Roman and Venetian ruins. On arrival, check into the Hotel Kolovare and enjoy lunch on your own. This afternoon, explore the Old Town with your tour manager and enjoy dinner on your own this evening

Day 8, Thursday April 22: Ljubljana

Arrive in the lovely city of Ljubljana today, the pocket-sized capital of Slovenia, boasting a dazzling hilltop castle and the emerald-green Ljubljanica River. It is often referred to as Salzburg of the South. On arrival, meet your Tour Manager, check in to the hotel and enjoy time to explore at your leisure. Tonight, have dinner together. (B,D)

Day 9, Friday April 23: Ljubljana

This morning, a local guide will take you on a sightseeing tour of this lovely small capital city to see the many highlights. Later this afternoon, meet at your first venue where you will rehearse for tonight's concert performance at a local venue such as St. Nicholas Cathedral. Enjoy dinner together this evening pre-concert at a local restaurant such as Restaurant Gostina Sokol.(B,D)

Day 10, Saturday April 24: Departure

Transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States. (B)
