Day 1, Wednesday August 4: Overnight Flight

Departure from San Francisco for your performance tour of France.

Day 2, Thursday August 5: Nice

Arrive in Nice and meet your Tour Managers in the arrivals hall. Transfer to Nice for check in at your hotel, an introductory walking tour of the area and a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. (D)

Day 3, Friday August 6: Nice

After breakfast at your hotel, discover Nice on a walking tour. Wander through the vibrant Old Town, bustling markets, and along the iconic Promenade des Anglais. Uncover hidden gems, historic landmarks, and breathtaking coastal views—all in just a few unforgettable steps. After free time for lunch on your own, meet again for rehearsal for your premiere concert in France. This evening's performance is a joint concert with the orchestra of the Conservatoire de Nice at the Conservatory's Formal Auditorium. Celebrate an amazing night of music with dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 4, Saturday August 7: Nice

Drive along the scenic corniche and stop at the stunning clifftop village of Eze for a visit of the botanical gardens and their amazing views. Continue to Monaco, a glamorous sovereign city-state on the French Riviera, known for its luxurious lifestyle and stunning Mediterranean views. It is home to the iconic Monte Carlo Casino, the annual Monaco Grand Prix, and a renowned hub for yachting. Despite its small size, Monaco offers a unique blend of history, culture and modern extravagance. After time to explore on your own, return to Nice for dinner. (B,D)

Day 5, Sunday August 8: Paris

Board the TGV this moring and zip north to Paris, the City of Light. Enjoy free time this afternoon to explore with your Tour Manager before dinner. (B,D)

Day 6, Monday August 9: Paris

Enjoy a morning panoramic guided tour of Paris with multiple photo stops at the major landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe and Les Invalides. Then visit La Musée de la Musique a renowned music complex designed by architect Christian de Portzamparc. Opened in 1995, it houses the Philharmonie de Paris concert hall and the Musée de la Musique, featuring an extensive collection of musical instruments. The venue serves as a cultural hub, hosting concerts, exhibitions, andeducational programs, celebrating the rich diversity of musical expression. After lunch on your own, head out of Paris to the Chateau Vaux-Le-Vicomte, a 17th-century masterpiece, built for Nicolas Fouquet, superintendent of finances to Louis XIV. Perform at the chateau and then enjoy an elegant buffet picnic dinner in the chateau grounds. (B,D)

Day 7, Tuesday August 10: Caen

Transfer to Normandy via a stop in Rouen, a historic city in northern France with its medieval architecture,including the stunning Rouen Cathedral and half-timbered houses. It's famous for its connection to Joan of Arc, who was tried and executed here in 1431. Enjoy lunch on your own then continue through Normandy known for its stunning coastline, historic D-Day landing beaches, and picturesque countryside. Check in to your hotel in Caen or Bayeux and eat dinner in a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 8, Wednesday August 11: Caen

After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy visits of Normandy landing beaches with your tour managers. On June 6, 1944 the allied troops launched the formidable armada that started the liberation of Europe from Nazi Germany. Then take part in a laying of the wreath ceremony at the American Cemetery Colleville - Omaha Beach. The American Cemetery in Colleville is a reminder of the human cost of war. As we walk among the rows of headstones, each one representing a life cut short, we cannot help but feel the weight of loss and grief. It is a poignant reminder that war affects not just the soldiers who fight, but also their families and loved ones. The cemetery's peaceful setting overlooking the English Channel only adds to the solemnity of the place. There is free time for lunch on your own locally before returning to Caen for rehearsal for your farewell concert. This evening's performance is proposed to take place at the Auditorium Pierre Daure in Caen. Celebrate this great concert at a local restaurant for dinner together. (B,D)

Day 9, Thursday August 12: Paris

After breakfast at your hotel, return to Paris to take in the festivities for the annual Bastille Day Celebrations. The military parade of July 14th in Paris, held on Bastille Day, is a grand annual event showcasing France's armed forces. It takes place along the iconic Champs-Élysées, featuring soldiers, tanks, aircraft, and military bands. The parade symbolizes national pride and unity, often attended by the French President and other international dignitaries. Enjoy a special farewell dinner to celebrate an amazing concert tour. Day 10, Friday August 13: Departure

Transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States.
