Day 1, Wednesday September 15: Overnight Flight

Departure from the United States.

Day 2, Thursday September 16: Ljubljana

Arrive in the lovely city of Ljubljana today, the pocket-sized capital of Slovenia, boasting a dazzling hilltop castle and the emerald-green Ljubljanica River. It is often referred to as Salzburg of the South. On arrival, meet your Tour Manager, check in to the hotel and enjoy time to explore at your leisure. Tonight, have dinner together. (B,D)

Day 3, Friday September 17: Ljubljana

This morning, a local guide will take you on a sightseeing tour of this charming capital city, where you will see its highlights, including the historic Old Town, the main city square, the iconic city hall, and beautiful cathedral spires rising above cobblestone streets. Stroll along picturesque avenues lined with cafés and shops, and admire local architecture and cultural landmarks. In the afternoon, you will gather at your first concert venue for rehearsal, preparing for tonight’s performance and experiencing the unique acoustics of this historic space. The day concludes with a memorable concert at St. Jackob's Church, sharing your music with the local audience. Meals included: breakfast and dinner. (B,D)

Day 4, Saturday September 18: Ljubljana

After breakfast together, the journey to the stunning Positano Cave, a natural wonder renowned for its dramatic stalactites, winding passages, and underground chambers. Learn about the geological history of the cave as you explore its unique formations and the play of light and shadow that creates an almost magical atmosphere. A possible impromptu sing may occur in the caves. After this fascinating visit, the evening is free for dinner on your own, giving you the chance to savor local flavors at a nearby restaurant or enjoy a leisurely stroll along the scenic streets. Day 5, Sunday September 19: Zagreb

Travel to Zagreb, the vibrant capital of Croatia, where your adventure continues. Upon arrival, check into your hotel before setting off on a guided exploration of the city with your knowledgeable Tour Manager, discovering its rich history, charming streets, and cultural highlights. After a day of sightseeing concluding your day with a delightful dinner together, savoring local flavors and sharing stories of your journey. Meals included: breakfast and dinner. (B,D)

Day 6, Monday September 20: Zagreb

This morning, enjoy your time at leisure in Zagreb, perhaps taking in the surroundings or simply relaxing before the day’s activities. In the afternoon, gather for a possible service concert at Dom Jadran, a care home for older adults known for its warm, home-like environment and engaging community activities. Share your music and bring joy to the residents in this welcoming setting. Conclude the day with a dinner together, savoring local flavors and reflecting on the experiences of your day. Meals included: breakfast and dinner. (B,D)

Day 7, Tuesday September 21: Lake Balaton

Depart this morning and travel north into Hungary, enjoying scenic countryside views along the way. En route, stop in the village of Radpuszta, located near the southern shores of Lake Balaton, for an authentic Hungarian cultural experience. Upon arrival, enjoy a traditional welcome reception featuring Hungarian brandy and fresh bread with mangalica lard before taking part in a guided cellar tour and wine tasting in the region’s historic 180-year-old wine cellar. Continue with a lively Hungarian horse show showcasing the area’s rich equestrian traditions, followed by a traditional lunch at a local restaurant featuring goulash soup and hot milk pie with apricot jam. Following the visit, continue to Balatonszárszó for hotel check-in and overnight accommodations. Later, your ensemble will present its next performance at St. Emmerich’s Church in Badacsonytomaj or a similar venue in the Lake Balaton region.

Day 8, Wednesday September 22: Budapest

Today, travel to Budapest. Upon arrival enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of this vibrant city on both the Buda and Pest sides of the Danube River. On the Buda side, explore the historic Castle District, including Matthias Church and Fisherman’s Bastion. On the Pest side, visit Heroes’ Square, the State Opera House, and St. Stephen’s Cathedral. Day 9, Thursday September 23: Budapest

Today, we’ll immerse ourselves in the rich musical heritage of Hungary with a visit to the renowned Liszt Academy and the Hungarian House of Music, both of which celebrate the country's deep connection to classical and contemporary music. After exploring these iconic institutions, we'll return to prepare for our final concert at either St. Catherines Church or Esztergom Cathedral or similar, a culmination of our journey and musical efforts. As the evening approaches, we'll gather for a heartfelt farewell dinner, where we’ll celebrate the memories and friendships made during this unforgettable experience, enjoying delicious local cuisine and reflecting on the highlights of our time together. Day 10, Friday September 24: Departure

Transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States. (B)
