Itinerary
The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.
Day 1, Sunday June 20: Overnight Flight
Departure from the United States.
Day 2, Monday June 21: London
You arrive in London, one of the world's liveliest capitals. Meet your Tour Manager and immediately plunge into the city, taking in Leicester Square, Picadilly Circus and Chinatown with your tour manager. Later transfer to your hotel in the London suburbs for check in. After unpacking take dinner together in a local restaurant (B,D)
Day 3, Tuesday June 22: London
After breakfast board your coach for the centre of the capital of the United Kingdom!. This morning take part in a string workshop at one of London's major musical institutions such as the Royal College of Music. This afternoon sightseeing with your tour manager shows you the city's highlights: Buckingham Palace, St. Paul's Cathedral, the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and the Changing of the Guard, if available. Later today perform your first orchestral concert, and have dinner in the city before returning to your hotel (B,D)
Day 4, Wednesday June 23: London
This morning after breakfast transfer to London's South Bank, and enjoy a visit to the newly reconstructed Globe Theater, including a workshop, where local actors expert in Shakespearean drama lead your group through a famous swordfight scene with a lot of laughs along the way! After an independent lunch, take a short walking tour across the Thames with your tour manager to the Tower of London, and discover this 11th Century fortress housing the Crown Jewels. Take an early dinner before returning to the Globe Theater for tonight's performance. [due to ticket restrictions, the group may need to split between the theater and West End show later in the week] (B,D)
Day 5, Thursday June 24: London
Aftter breakfast take a private guided visit of the Royal Academy of Music, before heading to your concert venue for an afternoon's performance; an example venue could be Holy Trinity Church in Kensington. Tonight after an early dinner you'll experience the best that London's West End has to offer in the way of a spectacular evening musical show. (B,D)
Day 6, Friday June 25: London
This morning visit the world famous Royal Albert Hall, venue for the BBC Proms Festival and residencies by famous artists such as the Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton. Later after an early dinner attend an orchestral concert at the Royal Festival Hall (or other venue, depending on programming) (B,D)
Day 7, Saturday June 26: London
This morning is free for shopping in the capital, taking in Oxford Street, Covent Garden and Regent Street. Later transfer to the suburb of Greenwich, and visit the Meridian Line, from where all timezones in the world are measured. Tonight you'll perform your final concert in a venue such as St Alphege's Church, before a farewell dinner to celebrate your succesful tour! (B,D)
Day 8, Sunday June 27: Departure
Transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States. (B)
