Trinity School - Jazz Tour of Central Europe

Itinerary

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Sunday June 13: Overnight Flight

Departure from the United States.

Day 2, Monday June 14: Prague

Welcome to Central Europe! Arrive in Prague, and meet your tour manager for the short transfer to the hotel. Take a brief orientation tour of the local area with your tour manager before dinner together (D)

Day 3, Tuesday June 15: Prague

This morning, visit the Prague Jewish Quarter with a licensed guide for a walking tour together. Learn about the Jewish history of Prague and the Czech Republic at the Jewish Museum. This afternoon, you will rehearse and perform your next concert of the tour in the Spa Hall of Podebrady, followed by dinner in a local restaurant (B,D)

Day 4, Wednesday June 16: Prague

This morning after breakfast take a guided tour of the majestic Bohemian city of Prague! The city retains an enormous array of architectures ranging from medieval to the modern. In the afternoon, have some free time to explore and rehearse for your next performance that will take place this evening in a venue such as the Hlahol concert hall. Afterwards, enjoy a dinner together in a local Czech restaurant to round off your time in Prague (B,D)

Day 5, Thursday June 17: Krakow

Check out of your hotel after breakfast, and journey to the historic city of Krakow in southern Poland. An en route stop is possible in the medieval Moravian city of Olomouc. Dinner tonight is in your hotel in Krakow (B,D)

Day 6, Friday June 18: Krakow

After breakfast take a trip to the Auschwitz concentration camp memorial, a sobering reminder of the atrocities of World War II. Later return to Krakow for dinner in a restaurant in the Jewish quarter (B,D)

Day 7, Saturday June 19: Krakow

This morning take a guided sightseeing tour of the city of Krakow, which has an almost perfectly preserved medieval center. Visit the Cloth Hall, the Mariacki Church where Pope John Paull II was Archbishop, and the Jewish ghetto. This afternoon perform your next concert in a local Jazz club in the city before dinner together (B,D)

Day 8, Sunday June 20: Bratislava

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and cross into the Slovak Republic, arriving in the capital Bratislava this afternoon. Check into your hotel on arrival and start exploring with your tour manager. Dinner will be together tonight in a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 9, Monday June 21: Bratislava

Today explore the compact and traffic-free historic city center nestled on the banks of the Danube river on your guided sightseeing tour. Later take a trip down the river itself by boat, before returning to the city for your final concert in a local cultural center or jazz club. Tonight sees your farewell dinner in a traditional Slovak restaurant (B,D)

Day 10, Tuesday June 22: Departure

Transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States. (B)
