PVHS Montreal and Quebec City Tour -2028

April 7 - 11, 2028

Itinerary

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Friday April 7: Montreal

Early this morning, depart New York by luxury coach for Canada. Arrive in the heart of Old Montreal this afternoon, where your Tour Manager will meet you and accompany you throughout your tour. Then take the stage for your first choral performance, sharing your music in this culturally rich setting at the stunning Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal, renowned for its breathtaking interior and rich history. Later, gather for dinner at a charming neighborhood bistro. This evening, take in Montreal by night with a scenic drive to the top of Mont Royal for sweeping views of the city skyline. Afterward, check into your hotel and settle in for the night.

Day 2, Saturday April 8: Quebec

After breakfast at the hotel, travel to McGill University for a clinic (pending availability and approval), offering the opportunity to work with esteemed faculty in a renowned academic setting. Enjoy free time for lunch and shopping before continuing your exploration of the city. This afternoon, drive to the top of Mont Royal to visit L'Oratoire St. Joseph, one of the most imposing landmarks in Montreal, whose dome is the third largest of its kind in the world. Take time to explore this remarkable site at your own pace. Then travel to Quebec City for check-in and dinner this evening. (B,D)

Day 3, Sunday April 9: Quebec

This morning, board your motor coach for a guided sightseeing tour of Greater Quebec. Highlights include the Plains of Abraham, the imposing Citadel and Martello towers, Parliament Hill, Place d’Armes, and the Latin Quarter, as well as a walking tour through the narrow, cobbled streets of Place Royale, the birthplace of Quebec. Enjoy free time for lunch and shopping in Old Quebec before visiting the Citadelle of Québec, a functioning military installation and the largest British fortress in North America. Today, have your second performance and then this evening, gather for dinner at a local bistro before returning to your hotel for the night in Quebec City. (B, D)

Day 4, Monday April 10: Quebec

After breakfast at the hotel, board your motor coach for a scenic excursion along the Beaupré Coast, known for its panoramic views and cultural landmarks. Visit the Albert Gilles Copper Art Museum and the Christorama Museum, then continue to the magnificent Basilique Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, one of the most important religious sites in Quebec. Enjoy free time for lunch before taking the stage for a performance at Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré (subject to availability). Stop to sample fresh homemade bread and maple butter, then visit the breathtaking Montmorency Falls, which rises even higher than Niagara Falls. This evening, celebrate your journey with a farewell dinner at a traditional Québecois Sugar Shack before returning to your hotel for the night in Quebec City. (B, D)

Day 5, Tuesday April 11: Departure

Wake-up for all participants, followed by breakfast served at the hotel. After breakfast, check out and depart for the journey home, bringing the Encore Tour to a close. (B)
