Itinerary

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Sunday June 21: Overnight Flight

Departure from the United States.

Day 2, Monday June 22: Ljubljana

On arrival at Venice airport, meet your coaches and tour managers, and take the easy journey to the lovely city of Ljubljana today, the pocket-sized capital of Slovenia. The city boasts a dazzling hilltop castle and the emerald-green Ljubljanica River, and is often referred to as Salzburg of the South. On arrival, check in to the hotel and enjoy dinner together, before an orientation tour of the city with your tour manager. (B)

Day 3, Tuesday June 23: Ljubljana

This morning, a local guide will take you on a sightseeing tour of this lovely small capital city to see the many highlights. Later this afternoon, you will rehearse for tonight's concert performance at a local venue such as the conservatoire performing arts center. Enjoy dinner together this evening pre-concert at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 4, Wednesday June 24: Zagreb

After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely morning in the capital Later today, board the bus and take an afternoon drive across to the Croatian capital of Zagreb. On arrival, check in to your hotel and start exploring with your tour manager. Enjoy dinner together this evening. (B,D)

Day 5, Thursday June 25: Zagreb

After breakfast enjoy a tour with a licensed guide, before departing for a local venue such as the Croatian National Theater where you'll rehearse for today's performance. Your concert today may be in conjunction with a local ensemble. Afterwards, enjoy a brief reception with the local ensemble, and enjoy dinner together at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 6, Friday June 26: Gyor

After breakfast, depart for Lake Balaton in Hungary to spend the day around Europe's shallowest and warmest lake, a tourist hotspot for many Central Europeans. Afterwards, transfer to Gyor and check into your hotel, then enjoy dinner together. (B,D)

Day 7, Saturday June 27: Gyor

This morning, familiarize yourself with Gyor, a city that lies on one of the prominent routes of Central Europe, halfway between Budapest and Vienna, where the Danube, Raba and Rabca rivers meet. Gyor's well-preserved and restored Old Town and Royal Town comprise one of the most beautiful Renaissance and Baroque townscapes to be found anywhere in Hungary. Enjoy guided sightseeing including the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption of Our Lady with the famous painting Weeping Madonna of Gyor and the main square. Tonight perform your next concert in a venue such as the Janos Richter concert hall (B, D)

Day 8, Sunday June 28: Bratislava

This morning after breakfast, pay homage to one of the region's greatest composers Josef Haydn, when you visit the Eszterhazy Palace in Eisenstadt and the nearby church where Haydn rests. Continue your journey to the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava and check into your final hotel of the tour. After dinner take an atmospheric evening guided tour of this compact and beautiful city.(B,D)

Day 9, Monday June 29: Bratislava

After breakfast take a trip on one of the great European rivers, the Danube. Later rehearse for your final concert in the specatcular Slovak Radio Hall, before a farewell dinner to celebrate your successful tour! (B,D)

Day 10, Tuesday June 30: Departure

Transfer to Vienna airport for return flight to the United States. (B)
