Itinerary
The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.
Day 1, Sunday August 16: Overnight Flight
Departure from the United States.
Day 2, Monday August 17: Paris
Welcome to France! Arrive into Paris and meet your tour manager before transferring to your first hotel. After check-in, spend the afternoon and early evening on an orientation tour of the city with your tour manager, before dinner together and an early night! (D)
Day 3, Tuesday August 18: Paris
This morning, enjoy a sightseeing tour of the Paris highlights with a licensed guide, including the Ile de la Cite, Notre Dame, the River Seine, the Eiffel Tower, Place de la Concorde, Les Invalides and much much more!. This afternoon is yours to explore at your leisure; perhaps visit the Louvre or the wonderful Musee D'Orsay! Rejoin your group for dinner together tonight. (B,D)
Day 4, Wednesday August 19: Paris
This morning, make your way out of Paris to visit the house of Claude Monet at Giverny with its beautiful gardens that were such an inspiration to one of the world's most famous artists. Return to Paris for an afternoon concert at LaMadeleine as part of their afternoon concert series (subject to repertoire approval). This evening bid farewell to Paris with a restaurant dinner (B,D)
Day 5, Thursday August 20: Strasbourg
After breakfast depart for the journey East to Strasbourg. En route visit the world famous Champagne city of Epernay and learn all about the highly specialized production of this most famous sparkling drink. Continue to Strasbourg and check in to your new hotel before taking dinner together. (D)
Day 6, Friday August 21: Strasbourg
Embark on a Strasbourg canal cruise this morning to enjoy the sights of the city from the water. Take in the ancient half-timbered buildings in Petit-France, and marvel at the single-spired Cathedral surrounded by traditional shops and buildings. Tonight perform in a local venue such as the church of St Pierre le Jeune, a regular venue for cultural activities in the city, before a late dinner together. (B,D)
Day 7, Saturday August 22: Strasbourg
Today is spent with your sister city hosts in the beautiful town of Colmar just an hour from Strasbourg, including a performance and festivities under your own arrangements. Dinner tonight is in a local restaurant (D,B) (B,D)
Day 8, Sunday August 23: Departure
This morning if time allows pay a visit to the pretty town of Heidelberg, one of Europe's oldest university cities. Continue to Frankfurt airport for return flight to the United States. (B)
