Itinerary
The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.
Day 1, Sunday August 16: Overnight Flight
Departure from the United States.
Day 2, Monday August 17: Perugia
Arrive in Prague where you'll meet your Tour Manager and transfer to your hotel for check in. Later head into town on your coach to enjoy a welcome orientation with your Tour Manager before taking an evening dinner cruise on the famous River Vltava. (B,D)
Day 3, Tuesday August 18: Perugia
A local guide shows you the history of Prague today on your morning walking tour. Visit Hradcany Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral before strolling across the famed Charles Bridge into the Old Town of Praha! Today's highlight is a concert in one of the city's cultural centres. (B)
Day 4, Wednesday August 19: Perugia
This morning is at leisure to explore the city: you could visit the Petrin Hill funicular offering spectacular views over the city, or simply stroll the cobbled streets and hidden courtyards. Later take a guided tour of the famous Estates Theater, where Mozart conducted the premiere of his opera Don Giovanni in the 18th Century. Dinner tonight is independent (B)
Day 5, Thursday August 20: Krakow
After breakfast and check-out, today's drive takes you to the Polish city of Kraków, via an en route stop in the Moravian city of Olomouc. Continue to Prague and check in to the hotel (B)
Day 6, Friday August 21: Krakow
Begin your day with a guided sightseeing tour to view the façade of the spectacular Wawel Castle, one of the country's most important historic and cultural sites, and other important sights in Krakow such as the main square, one of Europe's largest! This afternoon, enjoy free time in beautiful Krakow before transferring to the venue to set up and rehearse. Your next concert performance will take place today at a local venue, before dinner in a local restaurant (B,D)
Day 7, Saturday August 22: Krakow
Early this morning depart for Auschwitz and experience a somber reminder of the Nazi atrocities that occurred during World War II. The tour takes approximately 3 hours followed by a visit to Birkenau where many perished in its infamous gas chambers. Return to Krakow for an independent dinner (B)
Day 8, Sunday August 23: Budapest
After breakfast depart for Budapest today with a stop en route for an independent lunch in the beautiful Tatra Mountain region of Slovakia. Check into your final hotel of the tour before venturing out into the city for an independent dinner (B)
Day 9, Monday August 24: Budapest
This morning enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of the cityl and learn about Hungary's thousand-year history; visits include Castle Hill and Matthias Church. Enjoy some free time to wander the cobble-stoned streets of old Buda and proud Danube bridges, or simply spend the afternoon in one of the city's many coffee houses watching the city go by! Tonight perform your final concert of the tour: possible venues include the newly built stage at the House of Music, or the St Anna Church (B)
Day 10, Tuesday August 25: Budapest
Today's excursion takes you to the beautiful, small town of Szentendre. This baroque town is famous for its Hungarian artists and features many galleries, souvenir sellers and museums and monuments. Later return to Budapest for a farewell, folklore-themed dinner to celebrate your succesful Anniversary tour! (B,D)
Day 11, Wednesday August 26: Departure
Transfer to the airport for return flight to the United States. (B)
