Millikan High School Choir Tour de France 2026

The itinerary is the starting point to your tour, but it’s not set in stone. Your group leader may make changes leading up to departure.

Day 1, Thursday June 18: Overnight Flight

Depart from LAX for your concert tour of France.

Day 2, Friday June 19: Normandy Area

Bienvenue en France! Meet your Encore Tour Manager on arrival and journey to the Normandy area with a stop en route in Rouen for a walking tour with your Tour manager and time for lunch on your own. Continue to Caen for hotel check in, a special welcome dinner at a local restaurant and the overnight. (D)

Day 3, Saturday June 20: Loire Valley

Today walk in the footsteps of history as you visit many of Normandy's important World War II sites. You will pay tribute to the heroic fallen at the American Cemetery and Memorial at Colleville-sur-Mer where at 11:30 am, perform as part of a wreath laying ceremony. Descend from the bluff to walk along Omaha Beach, where American troops suffered some of the heaviest D-Day losses. Continue to the Loire Valley where you will check into your next hotel and have dinner together. (B,D)

Day 4, Sunday June 21: Loire Valley

The Loire Valley is steeped in histrory and the lives of the Kings of France during the Middle Ages and Renaissance. Among those places is the charming Loire Valley town of Blois. Here in Blois, immerse yourself in the local culture and community with an evening concert performance as part of an exchange with a local ensemble, at the elegant Chateau de Blois. First rehearse from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm, then enjoy a delicious dinner before tonight's 8:00 pm concert. (B,D)

Day 5, Monday June 22: Loire Valley

After breakfast at your hotel, visit two iconic Chateaux of the rich Loire Valley. First stop is the elegant Chateau de Chenonceau. This castle is an exquisite example of French Renaissance architecture spanning the River Cher. Next, marvel at the architrectual design of Renaissance great, Leonardo Davinci. Biult as a Loire Valley Hunting Chateau for Davinici's greatest patron, Francois I, it's whimsical rooftop and ingeneous entrance way dual staircase are proof positive of Leonardo's genius. This evening, enjoy dinner together at a local restaurant on your final night in the Loire. (D)

Day 6, Tuesday June 23: Paris

Check out of your hotel after breakfast and journey to Paris today. En route to "The City of Light", stop in the city of Chatres where your choir will perform a 30 minute program as part oif the Cathedral's Afternoon Concert Series. Continue to Paris for your hotel check in and dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 7, Wednesday June 24: Paris

After breakfast at your hotel, meet a local guide for a panoramic city trour of Paris that highlights the many stunning sites of The City of Lights from the Champs-Elysees, Napoleon's final resting place at Les Invalides and the Gothic wonder of Notre Dame. Next, enjoy a guided tour of The Palais Garnier (Paris Opera)...the setting for The Phantom of the Opera. This afternoon, rehearse for your farewell concert at La Madeleine Church. After your performance, enjoy dinner together at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 8, Thursday June 25: Paris

This morning after breakfast at your hotel, visit Louis XIV's palace at Versailles, including the Hall of Mirrors and Marie Antoinette's Hameau and Petit Trianon. These “small” cottages are delightful for their scale and grounds. Return to the Paris center for an evening boat cruise along the Seine River and a special farewell dinner at a local restauarant. Day 9, Friday June 26: Departure

After breakfast at your hotel and check out, transfer to the airport for your return flight to LA. (B)
